Last week I had a new experience, I was an invited speaker and workshop co-organizer at the Winter School organized by the Canadian Organization of Medical Physicists. This winter school is attended by medical physicists, radiation oncologists and radiation therapists
I was the first patient to have been a speaker at one of these events, and I was given a very warm welcome. I learned a lot, and I hope the I also brought the patient point of view. In making this presentation, I coined a new term, "The Patient Cancer Schlep", which I think is much more accurate than the "The Patient Cancer Journey".
